“They’re screwing with the wrong people.”
If those words did not send shivers down your spine, than you might not fully understand how important they are. Think back to the last episode of season 2 when Rick says “this isn’t a democracy anymore” . Those words carried a lot of weight, and really set the tone for season 3 and 4.
Rick was not messing around. If he was going to be the leader, he was not going to be taking much input from other group members. He is going to do what he thinks is in the best interest for the group.
Now how does the quote at the end of season 4 “They’re screwing with the wrong people” relate? It is setting the tone for season 5, just like “this isn’t a democracy anymore” set the ton for season 3. Rick realizes that when the group is together, they can fight their way through anything, and with the new addition of Rosita, Eugene, and Abraham the group has never looked stronger.
The group is against some major odds (being stuck in a train car), but this is not the first time the survivors have been stuck in a sticky situation, and it probably wont be the last. There hasn’t been to many episodes with the whole group together as a lean mean fighting machine, but with the way things are looking, season 5 will be full of zombie and terminus slaying goodness. Which is exactly what the series needs.
So what do you think?
