Here is my review of the first episode from the third series of The Walking Dead webisodes series “The Oath” titled Alone.

Alone shoved us right into the action. With the campground completely overran by walkers and dead bodies all over the place, the episode featured on two characters. The fact that one of them was wounded is a great jumping off point. For her to drive all over the place from a map they found in a car was a bit odd, but it had to happen for the advancement of the storyline.
Both characters seem likable. Karina seems like quite the emotional and sentimental type while Paul is the no-nonsense opposite to her. To me, the most entertaining scene was when the two characters stopped to rummage through the cars and find transportation. Paul showed his aggressive nature, tearing through the car while Karina instead checked the pockets of downed walkers for car keys.
The medical center that they found near the end looks promising, but first they will have to deal with the walkers that are inside the building. With Karina out of ammo and Paul nearly unconscious, that could prove to be a difficult task.
Speaking of Paul, I have a bad feeling that he’s lying about the orgins of his wounds. The discoloration around the slice really makes it seem as though there is more to it than just a cut on a piece of broken glass.
Overall, I’m very interested to see what happens in the next webisode. Alone left the two main characters in a pretty dire situation and even if they manage to escape, things aren’t looking good.
