The Walking Dead has seen many fantastic characters come and go on the hit AMC television show.  One of my favorites was always Meghan Chambler.  She was played by a young actress named Meyrick Murphy and shared some fantastic scenes with The Governor during the show’s fourth season.

Recently, I was lucky enough to be able to ask Meyrick Murphy some questions about her time on The Walking Dead and get a little insight into what it was like to work on such a popular show.  Here are her responses to the questions:

The Walking Dead is a scary and gory show at times.  Do you like horror films and shows?  If so, what are some of your favorites?

"“I was brought up around classic horror movies and Dracula picture books. I’ve always had a soft spot for fiends and monsters. They’re the best!! Some of my favorite horror movie are (drumroll please) The Woman In Black, Dracula, Frankenstein, and of course, Poltergeist!”"

David Morrissey is an established actor that has been on several popular TV shows, including The Walking Dead and Doctor Who.  What was it like working so closely with him?

"“It was amazing. Not only is he a wonderful actor, but also a wonderful person. I definitely learned a lot from working with him and even just being around him. He was very fatherly to me on set. It was really a great experience.”"

The cast and crew of The Walking Dead is known for having fun when the camera isn’t rolling.  Do you have any funny or interesting stories from the set?

"“On the day we filmed the pit scene with David, I had a dummy. Greg and I decided to name this dummy, so we named her Beatrice. We nicknamed her Bee, and then nicknamed her nickname to Buzz. Like Bees and Buzz? Get it? We played with her all day, sat her in his chair, it was hilarious!”"

How does it feel to be a part of The Walking Dead family?  And what question do you get asked most often from fans about The Walking Dead?

"“It is amazing and it really is a family. Everyone is so connected with each other; they’re all kind, and it’s a privilege to be part of it. The question I get most often is: How was it to work on such a big show? I’ve gotten that question so many times from fans. But I love it. I love explaining the amazingness of The Walking Dead set.”"

You have a new film coming out in April titled Chasing Ghosts. What should we know about this upcoming movie?

"“Chasing Ghosts is a coming-of-age tale about Internet success, the importance of family, and dealing with loss. I don’t want to give away too much but I think it ‘s a great movie to watch with family. It was a great project to work on and so many talented people were on board with the project.”"

I’d like to thank Meyrick Murphy for taking the time to answer these questions for us at Undead Walking.  She’s an absolutely lovely young lady that we wish nothing but the best for going forward in her career.  She seems to have a very bright future ahead of her and we look forward to watching her rise to stardom.
