The Walking Dead: Rick and Morgan Have ‘Splintering Ideologies’

It seems as though Rick Grimes and Morgan Jones have taken completely different paths to get to where they currently are.  While Rick has left a path of death and destruction wherever he has gone on The Walking Dead, Morgan seems to be the exact opposite.  In fact, Morgan was preaching to Daryl and Aaron during the season 5 finale about how all life is precious.  Now that the two old friends have reunited, things are bound to heat up when the two talk about how they have survived.

In a recent promotional video for The Walking Dead’s sixth season that is hosted on AMC’s YouTube page, Andrew Lincoln dropped a major hint that his character’s reunion with Morgan Jones might not be as pleasant as many fans are hoping that it will be.

Here is what Lincoln said about Rick Grimes possibly struggling with seeing his old friend again:

"“What I’m excited about is potentially a reunion between those two great men and great friends, but also splintering ideologies. It seems like this is a man that is about peace now, and Rick is the polar opposite. So I think that that’s gonna cause a lot of conflict and confusion.”"

One of the most interesting things to look forward to regarding The Walking Dead’s sixth season will be how Morgan and Rick will come together and discuss their differences.  Now that Alexandria is home to multiple people with different ideas on what it takes to survive and where the line is that shouldn’t be crossed, it will be quite fun to see how they all come to an agreement on how things should be run.

The Walking Dead will return for their sixth season this fall on AMC.  Until then, we’ll have reruns, marathons and the exciting companion series Fear The Walking Dead to hold us over.  As always, stay tuned to Undead Walking for all the latest news on The Walking Dead.
