Did You Miss It: Harry Potter Actor is in Fear The Walking Dead

The newest trailer for Fear The Walking Dead is out and it featured a Harry Potter actor you may have missed.

Fear The Walking Dead released it’s latest trailer the week, and it’s already looking like a series that we’re going to be fully invested in. Not only is there the obvious common thread of it being about The Walking Dead, but the teaser trailer we saw is compelling in more than a handful of ways.

That’s hard to say about something that features just half-a-minute of a dude running, but that tells you a lot about our overall intrigue about Fear The Walking Dead.

One of the interesting things about the teaser actually has little to do with the actual content of the series. The 30-second trailer featured actor Frank Dillane, who we know will be playing Nick and is a series regular. But there’s more to Dillane’s geek-cred then just being associated with of the hottest zombie shows on television right now.

Dillane has the distinction of being a Harry Potter veteran — and not just some random extra in a few scenes that were almost cut. The Fear The Walking Dead actor had an important role as the young Tom Riddle, otherwise known as Voldemort.

That’s not a small role to take on, and while he didn’t play the adult version of the characters, Dillane is still forever associated with that role.

Not only will the actor now have to be on the watch for Harry Potter fans trying to bother him, but he’s going to be opened up to a whole new world of fandom when The Walking Dead crowd get their hands on him. Luckily for Dillane, the thing that the two fan bases share is a love for the actors involved with bringing their favorite franchises to life — so he’s going to be in good hands for a very long time.
