The Walking Dead: All Out War miniatures game on the way

A miniatures game based on The Walking Dead’s “All Out War” plot line from the popular comic book series is currently in development from Mantic Games.
If you’re a fan of The Walking Dead, you know that just about everything you can think of has been taken over by the undead. Whether you’re a fan of the comic book series, hit television show, action figures, video games, or any of the other products available, consumers devour anything with the franchise’s name attached to it.
In a recent announcement from Mantic Games, a game based on the “All Out War” phase of the popular comic book series is in the works, looking to tell the story of one of the most dangerous and deadly times though miniature figurines.
Mantic Games is one of the biggest names in tabletop gaming, having successful franchises like Warpath, Kings of War and the recent hit Dungeon Saga. Combining their track record of creating popular games with the massive appeal of The Walking Dead should make this game series a must-have for both fans of table top games and collectors of amazing figurines.
Here is the statement from the Mantic Games blog about the upcoming game series:
"“The Walking Dead: All Out War will be set in the engaging and immersive post-apocalyptic world of The Walking Dead comic series. Having the comic license gives us far more freedom to reproduce from all the rich and evocative artwork, and over 149 issues of the comics. This offered the biggest choice of factions and characters – in fact the widest scope possible to explore the setting and heroes. Finally the comic license also gives us direct access to the Skybound team, and insight into the world by the people who actually created it! We will bring the pages to life with fantastic models that will cry out to be painted, slick game play and it’ll all be part of an awesomely fun gaming experience.”"
Even if you’re not a big fan of table top gaming, the figures themselves are absolutely stunning. Take a look at some of the early prototypes that were shown on the Mantic website.
More information regarding The Walking Dead: All Out War from Mantic Games will be available in the next coming weeks, along with more photos of great figures and details on how the game will be played. However, this should be one of the coolest projects that has the license from the massively popular franchise and will be something to look forward to in the near future.
