#2. Is Eugene fully ‘Team Negan’ now?

When Negan decided to punish Alexandria by taking Eugene away from their community following Rosita’s assassination attempt on the leader of The Saviors, it was hard trying to figure out what The Sanctuary would hold for Eugene.

Upon arriving there, Eugene was given a position of power and seems to enjoy having some more freedom and responsibility. In fact, he has even gotten comfortable in his role and the question of where his loyalty rests came into existence.

On Sunday, Eugene explained why he didn’t escape from The Sanctuary when he had the opportunity. He told Sasha that he doesn’t have to live in fear when working under Negan and that he feels safety there.

However, that doesn’t mean that his loyalties rest with Negan. When pressed to make a decision between The Saviors and Alexandria, he would likely have to make a difficult decision on the fly. Hopefully, that kind of situation presents itself in the season 7 finale and he can finally show if he really is ‘Negan’ now.
