When To Expect The Season 8 Trailer

The Walking Dead season 8 trailer is going to debut at San Diego Comic Con, and fans are chomping at the bit to see it. If you can’t make it to the panel in Hall H, never fear. You’ll see the trailer soon enough.

Given what fans go through to get into Hall H, studios and networks usually extend them a courtesy by debuting footage in Hall H before letting it out into the world. Thousands of fans will be posting information about the trailer on social media, but recording and live streaming is not allowed at SDCC so you won’t see any footage until AMC releases the trailer online. (Of course, there will be those people who violate policy and post it, but it can be taken down at any point, so don’t rely on bootleg footage)

The Walking Dead panel runs from 12:15-1:15pm, so you can plan for it to  be launched at some point during the panel, with the possibility that it will launch immediately following the panel. With so much focus on the trailer, I can see AMC going either way with it. For maximum effect, waiting until the panel ends might create the kind of frenzy networks love to see.

There’s a good chance we might see exclusive footage of the second half of Fear the Walking Dead season 3, and it will follow the same rules and posting timeline.

Your friends at Undead Walking will be on the ground at SDCC and we will have the trailer available for you as soon as it’s available. Be sure to watch our social media accounts for notifications and updates as we get closer to SDCC.
