Jessica Rae on Facebook asks: “If Rick is in a coma and wakes up do u think he will go look for Herschel Maggie Glenn and everybody else? Or was they ppl he made up in his coma state dream?”

Ah, the “old man Rick” situation. Yes, there are some theories out there that the version of Rick we saw in the season 8 trailer was indeed him waking up in the hospital from his bullet-wound induced coma.

If this is the case, that means fans have been watching Rick’s imagination play out. While this would be a fun situation, it does create a Wizard of Oz type situation where the characters might be based on real people he knows or he may want to seek them out.

While this could be a fun situation, it’s likely nowhere near what fans would want to see. In fact, rebooting with no walkers and just people meeting up would be a terrible way to continue the story, since the slate would be wiped completely clean.

Although it would be fun to see Rick run into Negan at his place of work and freak out!
