Carl Takes On Negan

Season 7, Episode 7, “Sing Me A Song”

Sara K. says:

My favorite moment in season 7 was when Carl snuck into the Sanctuary and tried to takedown Negan. While Carl’s actions may not have been the smartest and safest at the time, he proved himself to be brave and a leader. Carl has always been driven to put himself in danger as long as it was for a good cause.

It was really inspiring to see Carl go after Negan after what Negan had done to members of Carl’s group. Carl being much like his father Rick doesn’t settle for injustice, and went directly to fight the root of the problem. I always found this to be a really admirable quality that Carl had. It was also really nice getting to see Carl & Negan interact together. Negan had this fascination with Carl that was interesting to see.

He saw that Carl had a fire in him which was interesting considering his age. However Carl didn’t let Negan get under his skin, and was very brave the whole time he was there. This was definitely one of my favorite moments and episodes in season 7. This also was one of Chandler Riggs’ best episodes in my opinion, he gave a stunning performance. Carl had such an amazing storyline in The Walking Dead, and his character arc up until this moment was fantastic.
