1. Beta skins his best friend!

Everyone is dying to know who is under Beta’s mask. While we only got a teaser of Beta’s true identity we did get the origin of his mask, and WOW! This scene still has me shocked. The reason this is at the top of my list is that the other things we have seen in some way shape or form before. Wearing a walker’s guts isn’t a new thing. Noah was devoured with his face torn apart. People have been thrown to the walkers as well.

Nobody, however, has even given the thought of skinning their best friend’s face and wearing it as a mask. This is an entirely new level of crazy we haven’t seen before. Not only do we uncover this insanely dark origin but the act itself is shown. We see Beta peel the skin off the skull of his best friend.

We also hear Beta doing something I can only assume is crying but it is so haunting that it seems otherworldly. This scene also locks in why Beta is so fiercely loyal to Alpha even though he appears to be far more strong in their beliefs as whisperers. She not only saw him as his lowest point but she helped him through it. She knows who he is and where he came from and helped him be the amazing psychopath he is today!
