6) Carol’s reluctance to let Daryl look in her bag is some very nice foreshadowing for what she does as the episode ends.

7) While discussing Negan, Alpha mentions that Beta’s questioning of her “has become a regular occurrence”. The first of these “occurrence(s)” Alpha references were seen in this season’s second episode, “We Are The End Of The World”, when Beta disagreed with Alpha’s decision to spare Frances.

8) During this same questioning of Alpha, Beta says Negan’s a threat. Why does he think this, specifically? Because Negan makes a lot of noise (Something Beta had already expressed his displeasure at)? Because he reasons that, if he was imprisoned by the Alexandrians, it was for a good reason? Or because, as Alpha suggested, that Beta sees Negan as a potential rival for his position?

9) Furthermore, during this discussion, Alpha questions Beta as to whether or not he desires her position. While Beta vehemently denies this, and pledges his loyalty, is this foreshadowing an internal conflict between he and Alpha?

10) When discussing crossing into Whisperer turf, Carol brings up a good point: “We keep paying, no matter what side of the line we’re on”. Has she accidentally stumbled onto Alpha’s larger plan, to whittle the communities down while using the threat of war to prevent them from fighting back?
