Samantha Morton played one of the great villains in The Walking Dead series. Her character Alpha lead a group of skin mask-wearing people called The Whisperers. Morton brought this comic book character to life and is one of the best cast characters in the series. The Hollywood Reporter has announced she has been cast in Universal’s film, She Said, about the journalist who exposed Harvey Weinstein’s history of abuse.

Harvey Weinstein was a household name for his work as a film producer on some amazing films. Now, he is known as a convicted sex offender. She Said is a film based on the 2019 novel, She Said: Breaking the Sexual Harassment Story That Helped Ignite a Movement, written by the two journalists who exposed Weinsteins’s abuse and sexual misconduct, Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey.

The film will be directed by Maria Schrader (Unorthodox) and Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner are producing.

Twohey and Kantor helped detail years of abuse and helped spark the #MeToo movement. Weinstein is currently serving 23 years for three decades of sexual harassment of actresses, female production assistants and other employees who worked for Miramax and The Weinstein Company.
