The Walking Dead has several young actors in the series portraying the next generation of survivors. These children were born into the apocalypse and had no idea what things were like before they were born. Judith Grimes holds a special place in the fandom’s hearts as viewers watched her birth and watched her grow up from season 2 until the end of the series. Cailey Fleming is the actress who has portrayed Judith since season 9 and has now been cast in a new role.

Judith Grimes is the biological child of Shane Walsh and Lori Grimes. Her father died before her birth, and her mother died giving birth. Her care would then fall to her mother’s husband, Rick Grimes, and his group at the prison. Eventually, Rick would start a relationship with Michonne, and she would become the only mother Judith has ever known.

Judith possesses qualities from not only her biological parents but also Rick and Michonne. She is a brave young girl who was taught excellent fighting skills by the parents who raised her. In season 11, Judith took on the role of training up her generation to fight against the horrors of the apocalyptic world.

Deadline reports that Cailey Fleming will join the cast of John Krasinski’s IF – Imaginary Friends for Paramount.

Fleming stars with Krasinski, Ryan Reynolds, Steve Carell, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Fiona Shaw, Louis Gossett Jr., Bobby Moynihan, and Alan S. Kim, who starred with Walking Dead alum Steven Yeun in Minari.

Deadline reports additional cast recently announced include Matt Damon, Jon Stewart, Emily Blunt, Maya Rudolph, Sam Rockwell, Sebastian Maniscalco, Christopher Meloni, Richard Jenkins, Awkwafina, and Vince Vaughn.

Details of the film are being kept quiet, but it is a Krasinski original story about a man who befriends a young girl, and he can see people’s imaginary friends. He creates friendships with the imaginary friends who have been forgotten or discarded, but some of them have turned evil after losing love and companionship.

"It’s a live-action Pixar film. I want this movie to be believing in something bigger…and getting you through something bigger, that’s possible. – Krasinski."

Sunday Night, Krasinski’s company will produce with his partners Allyson Seeger and Andrew Form, and Ryan Reynolds will produce via his company, Maximum Effort. The film is set to release on May 24, 2024, and will be the first project to reunite Krasinski and Carrell since The Office.
