Tales of the Walking Dead will air its fifth episode on Sunday, September 11. This episode is titled “Davon” and stars Jessie T. Usher, well-known for portraying A-Train in Prime Video’s The Boys. Usher is joined byEmbeth Davidtz, Loan Chabonol and Gage Munroe. This episode is a murder mystery thriller that will keep you guessing until the end!
The latest spinoff in The Walking Dead universe is an anthology series that features a new story with each episode and introduces many new characters to the universe. It is a refreshing addition that will hopefully get renewed for a second season that could allow fans to see many of their favorites from the flagship series in different stories never told.
“Davon” has been one of my favorite episodes as it is quite different for TWDU as it is a noir-ish tale. The main character, Davon (Usher), awakens in the community of Madawaska, Maine, with no memory of events that have taken place and finds himself accused of murder.

Davon must piece together what has taken place to prove what he believes is his innocence as the townspeople, who are sure he is guilty, set out to prove the opposite.
Viewers will want to pay close attention to this episode as they too piece together this fractured tale of murder, mystery, and perhaps mercy?
This episode was written by showrunner and Tales of TWD co-creator written by Channing Powell and directed by Michael Satrazemis. This pair also brought fans the outstanding “Dee” episode that told the back story of one of The Walking Dead’s most fearsome villains, Alpha (Samantha Morton).
