Greg Nicotero is another member of TWD Family who keeps himself very busy. Nicotero was with The Walking Dead since before it was greenlit. Although he didn’t know it then, this became a 12-year-long commitment. Now with the main series concluded, he will continue with the Daryl Dixon spinoff, and author F. Paul Wilson has announced an agreement has been made for Nictoero to remake The Keep.

The Keep is a Paramount Pictures film from 1983 that is a dark fantasy horror. Based on Wilson’s same-titled novel, the film received mixed reviews but has since become a cult classic. Rotten Tomatoes has given the film a 44%, but many fans believe it is a great movie.

The story’s premise sees Nazi troops in WWII, where a supernatural evil has been awakened in a Romanian castle. They must seek out the help of a Jewish historian to aid them in battling the ancient demon.

The original movie is directed by Michael Mann, who is known for Miami Vice, Heat, The Last of the Mohicans, and more. And the film has a fantastic cast consisting of  Scott Glenn, Gabriel Byrne, Jürgen Prochnow, Alberta Watson, Ian McKellen, and Robert Prosky.
