The Walking Dead Set To Invade San Diego Comic Con

Yesterday, I wrote about VP Cabs bringing a pinball table based on The Walking Dead: A Telltale Game to San Diego Comic Con.  As expected, there will be a lot more than just a pinball machine at the event to represent the hit zombie franchise.

As a matter of fact, perhaps the most impressive part of The Walking Dead’s impact is the zombie flash mob which happened on July 17th and is scheduled to happen again on July 25th and 26th.  The mob took over the streets in an act to promote The Walking Dead Escape.

And If you haven’t heard of The Walking Dead Escape, you’re missing out.  It is as close to you’ll get to living in the zombie apocalypse as you’ll get at Comic Con and should be a fun time for all those involved.  You could even meet special effects genius Greg Nicotero at the event if you decide to become a walker for the Escape.

That isn’t even close to all though.  There are many panels and events at Comic Con International in San Diego that will make even the hardest core of The Walking Dead fans jealous.  Here are some of the scheduled events to look forward to:

• USAopoly (showing off The Walking Dead game)

• AMC’s The Walking Dead
• PLAYBACK: Featuring Bones, The Walking Dead, and Game of Thrones

Then, you can add in photo ops and autograph sessions with some of the actors on the show and of course the mind blowing unveiling of the season 5 trailer and we’ve got a San Diego Comic Con that fans of The Walking Dead will never forget.
