If you’ve been living under a rock lately, you may not know that Comic Con is happening in San Diego on July 9-12, 2015. Believe it or not, that’s already this weekend! Truly, even if you have been living under a rock, you probably know that Comic Con’s happening. What you may not have heard, however, is that on July 10th and 11th from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm, there will be even more walker filled excitement in San Diego besides what’s happening at Comic Con.

If you’ve read our Ultimate Walking Dead Fan Schedule, you may find it hard to believe that there can possibly be more happening in San Diego that a Walking Dead fan might want to do. Reading that schedule was enough to leave many people, myself included, exhausted. And yet, about a half a mile away from Comic Con, at nearby Petco Park, Walker Stalker Fan Fest will be in full swing.

Of course, the two day event will feature stars from The Walking Dead, including Michael Rooker (“Merle“), Chad Coleman (“Tyreese“) and Scott Wilson (“Hershel“), along with many others. Guests are still being added, too! While I was writing this article, two more guests were added to the lineup! To see the full guest list, click here. Photo ops and meet and greets with the actors are available, and as of the writing of this article, tickets for the event at all price levels are also still available as well.

As a bonus, since this is not the average “Walker Stalker Con,” there will also be something different for fans to experience. The Walking Dead Escape does not appear to be for the faint of heart. Running from 6:00 pm – 11:00 pm on July 10th and 11th, their website offers those who are brave enough a chance to get a little more first hand experience of what it’s like to live through a zombie apocalypse, promising “This isn’t just an obstacle course, this is an immersive experience into the world of The Walking Dead.”

If you so choose, you are able to participate, at the VIP or General Admission levels, as a Survivor or as a Walker. If you want the full experience, it’s possible to run the course first as a Survivor and then as a Walker (General Admission only). There is also the option of just being a spectator, or if that’s not quite exciting enough, you can choose to just attend the after party.

Not quite convinced that you need to clone yourself in order to take in all that San Diego will have to offer a fan of The Walking Dead this weekend yet? There’s a few more things happening and Walker Stalker Fan Fest you may be interested in. First, on Friday, July 10 at 8:00 pm, Emily Kinney will be performing live in concert at Petco Park. Separate concert tickets are required for entry, and cost $25.00.

Special events continue after the con on Saturday night, July 11th. First, at 8:00 pm, it’s The Walking Dead Live Performance. The actors who voiced The Walking Dead: Season One video game will reprise their roles in a special show live on the Superfight! Stage at Petco Park. Admission to this event is free for anyone with Walker Stalker Fan Fest tickets.

Then, at 9:00 pm on Saturday, July 11th, there will be a new and fully CG installment of Night of the Living Dead, entitled Night of the Living Dead: Darkest Dawn. Walker Stalker Fan Fest ticket holders pay no additional fee for this experience.

If you have questions about Walker Stalker Fan Fest, you can visit their website at http://walkerstalkerfanfest.com/. Sadly, however, if your question is indeed “How can I clone myself so that I can attend both Comic Con and Walker Stalker Fan Fest?” I don’t think you’ll find the answer there. You might have to figure that one out for yourself.
