AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead will get a Talking Dead special for finale night this Sunday. Chris Hardwick will sit down with 3 guests on the couch. Kim Dickens, who plays Madison Clark, Cliff Curtis, who plays her live-in boyfriend, Travis Manawa, and Dave Erickson, the show’s showrunner/co-creator/executive producer/writer will help us sort out the situations and character motivations we’ve witnessed these last 6 weeks.

I can’t wait to see how they look sitting on the couch. I also can’t wait to see the pictures that will be hanging behind them on the set. Usually the walls hold photos of walkers. I imagine we’ll see Gloria or Susan or Patrick. I hope we get our “In Memoriam” segment. It will nice to pay tribute to those we’ve lost and it will be fun to see what names they give to some of our unnamed infected.

It will be great to see behind-the-scenes looks at things and interviews with the cast and previews of season 2. But the most important thing of all is what we’ve missed all these weeks and the title of the show–Talking Dead.

If there were ever a doubt that the after show helped us sort things out, there’s no doubt now. I really miss the little tidbits that we get from talking things through afterward. There’s never enough time to talk about everything, but at least you feel like you’ve processed a bit. I don’t feel like I’ve had any processing time with Fear. Twitter and writing articles have helped a bit, but there’s never enough and Talking Dead is the horse’s mouth, so to speak.

I’ll be happy to get to know Kim, Cliff and Dave. That’s another thing that Talking Dead provides. I feel like I know some of the actors and producers so much better because of their Talking Dead appearances. And from what I can gather from interviews, Dave Erickson is a little more forthcoming and less cryptic than Scott Gimple so that may be helpful for Fear, which can be a little confusing,

I still want to know what Chris Hardwick might give his fan questioners who step up to the mic. Any ideas? A comb? 77 cents? An inflatable raft?
