The Walking Dead reaches the midseason finale with “Hearts Still Beating.” Here’s all of the information you need to watch season 7 episode 8 of The Walking Dead on television and online.

It’s finally here: The Season 7 midseason finale of The Walking Dead. This week’s episode promises to bring everyone back together from all points of the Georgia woods. But what will happen when Rick returns to find a freshly shaved Negan bouncing baby Judith on his knee?

The first half of Season 7 has taken us all over the place. We have encountered new communities with new rules and even more interesting people.

There is Negan’s Sanctuary, which he rules with an iron fist. The Sanctuary is an enormous compound built on the site of a former power plant, and Negan’s men are well armed and well organized. Daryl has been given a key to escape his cell. Will he make it out of the Sanctuary? Is Jesus responsible for slipping the key to him, or is someone else working with him on the inside?

King Ezekiel and his tiger Shiva preside over the Kindgom, which is where Carol and Morgan find themselves. Carol has recovered from her injuries and has decided that she wants to live in a little house on the outskirts of the Kingdom, but Ezekiel makes sure that her drops in to check on her.

Tara found a fascinating community of women who live in Oceanside. They’re refugees from Negan’s brutality, and they live in secrecy on their plentiful supply of fish. And they have lots of guns and a policy to shoot intruders on sight.

Lastly is the Hilltop, where Gregory has been revealed as a sniveling, spineless puppet of a leader who is now under the thumb of Simon, Negan’s nefarious satellite supervisor. Jesus has departed for a mission to scout the Sanctuary, and Maggie is looking like the new heir apparent to the Hilltop.

Rick and Aaron are in the process of potentially scoring a huge cache of goods from a hidden encampment, provided they can navigate the Walker-infested waters surrounding it. When they return to Alexandria, they’ll find Negan waiting for them.

With all of that in mind, we’re in for a very interesting midseason finale. Like the previous episode, “Hearts Still Beating” will also have an extended run time.
