Is The Walking Dead on next week December 18?

The Walking Dead midseason finale airs tonight. When will The Walking Dead return from winter hiatus?
Fans have been eagerly waiting for The Walking Dead midseason finale. Tonight’s episode should cap off an intense first half of the season. All the storylines that have been started this season should converge in episode 8, “Hearts Still Beating.”
While the midseason finale will finally bring Rick’s group back together again it won’t be the end of the Negan storyline. Negan is going to be a problem for Rick and the Alexandria group for quite some time. Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been confirmed as a season regular for at least one more season.
Fans of the comics know that Negan will factor heavily into the future for Rick and all the members of Alexandria as well as the other groups. But, the plan for how Rick and the other leaders will fight Negan and the Saviors will likely start to take shape when Season 7 picks back up.
After the midseason finale tonight fans will unfortunately have a bit of a wait until the show returns. Currently The Walking Dead is scheduled to start the second half of Season 7 in February.

So, the show will not be on next week on December 18th. Episode 9 of Season 7 will air on February 12, 2017. It will be interesting to see how the group at Alexandria moves forward. The first half of the season has been a pretty difficult one for the group.
There has been a lot of loss and grief this season. The group is scattered. Rick seems to be broken. And now they have to face the fact that they must rely on others to take Negan down. Will the other communities agree to help out and take on the Saviors?
Fear The Walking Dead
Fans won’t have to wait out the entire hiatus without undead action. Fear The Walking Dead will be back for Season 3 starting early in 2017. That should give fans enough of the apocalypse to keep them busy until The Walking Dead returns.
