Did AMC’s zombie survival drama series The Walking Dead get nominated for any awards at the 74th annual Golden Globes to be held on January 8. 2017?

Awards shows aren’t always kind to The Walking Dead. Despite being the most popular program in the world among adults in the 18-49 demographic, awards don’t always follow the hordes of fans watching AMC’s zombie survival drama each week.

One of the few outlets that never seems to recognize the program announced their nominees during the morning of Monday, December 12, 2016 through a live stream on Facebook and the #TWDFamily can’t be happy with the results.

Don Cheadle, Laura Dern and Anna Kendrick took turns announcing the nominations, and fans now know where The Walking Dead stands going into the 74th annual Golden Globes on Sunday, January 8, 2017:

ZERO NOMINATIONS.

Despite amazing performances by Andrew Lincoln and one of the most powerful years of television for the hit AMC zombie survival drama. the show failed to receive love in any category. Not even Jeffrey Dean Morgan received a nod, when he was the recipient of a Critics Choice award the night before.

The Golden Globes is an awards program that recognizes the best in film and television according to a group of 93 members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. It is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious awards programs in the world, and carries with it a lot of critical clout when it comes to other awards shows.
