Wizard World Philadelphia To Feature 6 Walking Dead Actors
By Adam Carlson
If you’re a big fan of The Walking Dead and will be in the Philadelphia area from Thursday, June 19th to Sunday, June 22nd, you’ll have to stop by Wizard World. Six of the biggest stars of the show will be on hand for a photo op and autograph session.
Here are the actors from The Walking Dead who will be on hand for the event:
Lauren Cohan

Cohan plays Maggie Greene on The Walking Dead. Not only is she excellent eye candy for those interested in the ladies, but she gives intense performances when put in situations. Her most recognizable scenes in my opinion were from her capture at Woodbury, escapades with Glenn in the pharmacy and reuniting in the tunnel with Glenn.
Sarah Wayne Callies
- Callies won’t win any popularity contest with her portrayal of Lori Grimes on The Walking Dead, but she was still a huge character in the earlier seasons of the show. Lori is the wife of main character Rick Grimes and mother of the young Carl Grimes.
Scott Wilson
- Wilson is one of my favorite actors from the show. His portrayal of Hershel Greene shows him as the wise old man who can help heal up the wounds of others. He also loves Spaghetti Tuesdays on a Wednesday and giving out great nuggets of sage-like advice.
Jon Bernthal
- Berenthal was given one of the toughest acting jobs on The Walking Dead. Shane Walsh was such a dynamic character because of his hard-headed opinions and desire to keep certain members of the group safe while not worrying about the others. At times, he seems so cold and distant while at other times he seems rather father like to younger members of the group.
Norman Reedus

Reedus plays perhaps the most popular character on the program. When the character of Daryl Dixon graces the screen with his crossbow, ladies everywhere tend to swoon for him. His interactions with his brother Merle have made for some great moments on the show.
Micheal Rooker
- Rooker is the yin to Reedus’ yang. He plays Daryl Dixon’s brother Merle on The Walking Dead. His abrasiveness and willingness to do whatever it takes to survive is a fantastic performance. Plus, I loved him in the Kevin Smith movie “Mallrats”.
In addition to these two huge guests, there will be a seminar held on walkers titled “The Zombie Genre: Not Dead Yet”. They’ll talk about the past success of zombies in film and television and take a short look at the future of the genre.
Wizard World Philadelphia will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on Arch Street in Philadelphia. Also on hand for the event are several huge stars, including Matt Smith, John Cena, Whoopi Goldberg, Nathan Fillion, and Christopher Lloyd. Don’t miss this awesome show!
