Chandler Riggs Dishes On Favorite TWD Quote And Character

If you don’t follow Chandler Riggs on Ask.fm, you’re missing out on a lot of really cool conversations that he has with fans from all over the world.  He answers a lot of questions there, personal and professional.  Although he doesn’t give away any spoilers for the show, you can really get great insight into him as an actor and the character of Carl Grimes from reading his answers.

Here is what Chandler said was his favorite quote from The Walking Dead:

"Hershel Greene during his speech about risking your life.“You step outside, you risk your life. You take a drink of water, you risk your life. And nowadays you breathe, and you risk your life. Every moment now, you don’t have a choice. The only thing you can choose, is what you’re risking it for.”"

That’s a great quote from Hershel during season 4.  Quite possibly one of the most powerful things ever said on the program.  Great choice, Mr. Riggs.

He was also asked what his favorite character on the show is, and he replied with this:

"Glenn Rhee on Hershel’s porch with one eyebrow raised.“glenn cuz hes awesome.”"

Yes, Glenn is awesome.  Absolutely.  Plus, he kicks a lot of butt and hooked up with the farmer’s hot daughter.  He’s got a lot going for him.  Another solid choice by Chandler.  Even though Riggs says he is closest to Andrew Lincoln or Norman Reedus on set, the character of Glenn Rhee is a hard one to disagree with.

People love asking about favorite things, so he was also asked what his favorite episode of The Walking Dead is.  Here’s his response:

"409"

He didn’t really elaborate too much on it, but 409 was a pretty powerful episode.  It has Carl Grimes learning a little humility after being taken out by walkers, losing his shoe, and eating a ton of pudding.  It really helped change his character from a boy into a young man.
