Is Chris Hardwick Slowly Invading The Walking Dead?

Chris Hardwick has been a part of The Walking Dead’s universe since The Talking Dead became a regular part of the show.  When he was named the host of The Talking Dead, fans knew they’d get fun skits and some appearances, but he seems to be becoming more and more involved in every aspect of the show.

It could be because he spends some time with the creators, producers, cast and crew of the show while making The Talking Dead. Or maybe they are poising for him to be even a bigger part of The Walking Dead in the long run.

Currently, AMC is running Dead, White and Blue weekend where they are showing every episode of The Walking Dead leading up to a Season 5 special episode of The Talking Dead.  Although Chris Hardwick is a part of The Talking Dead, he was also chosen to be in skits and interviews in between episodes during the marathon.

Comedy and horror are a great combination, but Chris Hardwick was an odd choice for the role on The Talking Dead and to host Dead, White and Blue weekend.  Strangely, it works though.  He’s got this appeal that makes you feel like he is really a huge fan of everything The Walking Dead and is really genuinely excited for every moment that AMC will allow him to be a part of it.  His charm and ability to relate to the common man is what makes him an excellent host for these types of shows.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Hardwick have a walk-on role on The Walking Dead considering how close he’s gotten to the source material.  Plus, wouldn’t it be kind of cool to see a strange crossover from The Talking Dead to The Walking Dead?  Maybe that’s a bit much, but for a man that has never appeared in an episode of The Walking Dead, it might be the next logical step and something fans of the show might enjoy.

Either way, enjoy Dead, White and Blue Weekend with Chris Hardwick and the rest of the cast and crew of The Walking Dead.
