2015 People’s Choice Awards: Walking Dead Nominees

Recently, The People’s Choice Awards shared their list of possible nominees for the 2015 awards and need your help to narrow them down! Here are the current listed options from The Walking Dead that you can can choose from to become nominees:

Favorite TV Show – The Walking Dead

• The Walking Dead is currently the highest rated show in the world.  That alone should give it a great chance at securing a nomination and possibly a victory in this category.

Favorite Cable Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Show  –  The Walking Dead

• There is some really tough competition here.  American Horror Story, Doctor Who, and Game of Thrones all have a rabid following.  However, the recent success of the season 5 premiere could help bring in some votes.  Still, I expect The Walking Dead to win this category.

Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actor  –  Andrew Lincoln

• The Walking Dead simply wouldn’t exist without Rick Grimes.  Andrew Lincoln has played the role to perfection since appearing in the show’s first episode.  While Lincoln would be deserving of this award, he may not be popular enough to bring it home.

Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actor  –  Norman Reedus

• Reedus is just a more popular actor than Andrew Lincoln.  Still, I hope that the fact that there are two nominees from The Walking Dead doesn’t subtract from fans clicking on them.  Remember, you can vote for up to 5 in each category, and that means possibly showing love for Norman and Andrew.

Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actress  –  Danai Gurira

• Dana Gurira is known for playing Michonne.  While I love how kick-butt she can be, I’m not sure she was a big enough figure in season 4 to warrant a victory for her.  Still, it would be nice to see her nominated for her great effort in the role.

Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actress  –  Melissa McBride

• I don’t think anyone on The Walking Dead deserves an award more than Melissa McBride.  Her work as Carol Peletier during season 4 was absolutely fantastic.  If she didn’t make you tear up during “The Grove”, then you just might be a heartless monster,

Favorite TV Character We Miss Most  –  Hershel Greene

• I think we all miss Hershel.  His words of wisdom and sense of humor are irreplaceable on the show.  Shall we all have Spaghetti Tuesday on a Wednesday in his honor.

If your favorite characters and actors on The Walking Dead aren’t a selectable option, you can always write them in on the bottom of the list!  That means that you can all write in Andrea as the “Favorite TV Character We Miss Most”.  Or not.  That’s up to you.

You can vote at the People’s Choice Awards website.  The official nominees will be listed on November 4th with the awards show scheduled to air on January 7th at 9 pm EST.
