Norman Reedus Carrying Emily Kinney Was Awkward

Fans of The Walking Dead were hit hard emotionally when Beth Greene was killed in the midseason finale of season 5.  Many of them wanted to see an intimate relationship form between Beth and Daryl Dixon, but that never came to fruition.  While those two characters never really got intimate on the show, the actors who play them are quite close.

Norman Reedus and Emily Kinney spent a lot of time filming together during the The Walking Dead’s fourth season after the destruction of the prison.  Their characters were separated from the other members of the group and they were venturing out on their own.  They drank together, shared a lot about their past and even got some hugging action in.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Norman Reedus admitted to getting a bit too personal with Emily Kinney during the scene where Daryl was carrying Beth’s lifeless body out of the hospital.  Here’s what he had to say:

"“You know, she’s not a heavy girl. I wouldn’t say that. But it’s this defeated posture. I couldn’t walk her out like a fireman saving a baby. It couldn’t be like that. Everything had to hang. It wasn’t the most comfortable position to carry someone. You kind of have to be sobbing and hang as you carry her. It can’t be a heroic thing, it has to be a devastating thing. I think I grabbed her boob once by accident. After like, six takes and you’re walking really slow and sobbing, I thought maybe I would drop her at least once, but I didn’t.”"

I bet Emily is glad that Norman didn’t drop her.  Even if he did manage to cop a quick feel on her accidently, stuff like that happens during the filming of shows and it’s nice to see that both of them were professional about it.

So, even though Beth and Daryl never hooked up on The Walking Dead, there’s gotta be some relief for “Bethyl” fans that Norman Reedus accidentally got to second base with Emily Kinney, right?
