Fans of comedy and The Walking Dead will be in luck in 2015 when the hit AMC television show will be poked fun of in a 2015 movie.  According to both IMDB and ComingSoon.com, “The Walking Deceased” will feature Joey Oglesby from Prison Break and Dave Sheridan from Scary Movie in a movie that is set to poke fun of the entire zombie genre.

Here is the film’s summary according to ComingSoon.com:

"The story follows a group of survivors from all walks of the apocalypse – an idiotic Sheriff with definite coma-induced brain damage, his hardass son and a hobo with only a crossbow to stave off the walking dead, four squabbling friends forced to survive this zombieland together, and a lonely zombie who just needs love to fully regain his warm body – who leave their once-safe mall hideout in search of the rumored Safe Haven Ranch, a refuge untouched by the zombie virus that has ravaged humanity."

While many other great zombie themed shows and movies will be parodied in the movie, it looks like of the main characters will be spoofs of characters from The Walking Dead:  Rick Grimes, Carl Grimes, Daryl Dixon.  While these type of comedy movies are usually very hit-or-miss when it comes to being great comedy, it’s always nice to see familiar characters and plots.

Here is a list of some of the zombie projects to be parodied:

  • The Walking Dead
  • Zombieland
  • Warm Bodies
  • World War Z
  • Shaun of the Dead
  • Dawn of the Dead
  • Night of the living Dead
  • AND MORE!

We’ll get you more information about The Walking Deceased as it becomes available.  As of now, the film is scheduled for a 2015 release and will be directed by Scott Dow and written by Tim Ogletree.  Make sure to look for it in theatres next year.
