When Will Season 6 Filming Of The Walking Dead Begin?
By Adam Carlson
With all the activity surrounding The Walking Dead’s companion series, it’s easy to lose focus on the hit AMC show.
With The Walking Dead currently on its midseason break and filming ended on season 5, right now is a pretty quiet time in the television series. Despite that, the AMC show is always working around the clock to write, cast and adapt the comic books into the live screen counterpart. And that brings up a good question:
When will filming start on The Walking Dead’s sixth season?
If season 6 follows a similar schedule to the filming of previous seasons, we should see it begin in May. For season 5, filming started on May 5th and ran through November. According to WetPaint, the show should keep a similar filming schedule this year.
Things could get changed up a bit though because of the filming of The Walking Dead’s companion show currently titled “Cobalt”, but that would be a bit of a surprise considering that it will be a different crew working on Cobalt than is dedicated to The Walking Dead’s hit AMC show.
With 8 episodes left in The Walking Dead’s fifth season, it’s hard to even think about season 6. We were left with some highly emotional moments and a lot of questions to be answered that will most likely be addressed in the second half of season 5.
We should be able to help pass along some filming spoilers and information thanks to great groups out there like Entertainment Weekly and The Spoiling Dead Fans. We’ll do our best to keep you in the loop on what is going on once filming begins on The Walking Dead’s sixth season.
