AMC has aired a new promo for The Walking Dead mid-season premier. The series will be back on the air on February 8,2015 and will be on our televisions on Sunday nights. The series will conclude with the final 8 episodes of Season 5.

Here is the promo for the back half of Season 5:

Here is a small recap to the mid-season finale.

During the mid-season finale, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and company were at a standoff with the group at the hospital led by Officer Dawn Lerner (Christine Woods). Rick and the group were looking to save Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) and Beth Greene (Emily Kinney).

Rick and crew created a plan to capture a few officers from the hospital and offer them up as a trade to get back Beth and Carol. Things seemed like they were all going to plan. The exchange seemed like it was going to work out alright until Beth decided to stab Officer Dawn in the chest.

Dawn instantly reacted to getting stabbed and shot Beth through the head. Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) retaliated to that and shot Officer Dawn and killed her also. It was absolute madness.

Rick and the crew met up with the rest of the group outside of the hospital as they were leaving. That is where Beth’s sister, Maggie (Lauren Cohan), finally found her sister dead in the arms of Daryl. One of the most emotional scenes on the show.

How will the back half of the season turn out now that Beth is gone? What new twists and turns will we have coming through in the back half of the season?

The group also now knows that Eugene (Josh McDermitt) has been lying about a way to end this apocalypse. That leaves the group with no destination. They have no direction. They were headed to DC, but they don’t need to head in that direction any further.

What will they choose to do now? Will they look to settle in another area? Rick and company already have passed on the idea of staying in the hospital. It seems like it is time to find a new home.

The Walking Dead fans will be on the edge of their seats waiting for the premiere to air. We are a month away from it all kicking off again. February 8th can’t get here fast enough.
