While many fans of The Walking Dead only know Norman Reedus from his work as Daryl Dixon, Reedus had a cult following long before he was added to the cast of the hit AMC television show.

A beloved movie series titled The Boondock Saints was many people’s first introduction to Norman Reedus.  Reedus played a character named Murphy MacManus  in the 1999 movie that spawned a sequel in 2009 titled The Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day.  And now, according to a Reddit AMA, we now know that a third film is in the works.

Here’s what was asked along with the response from Norman Reedus:

"[–]mrsbass79:  Morning Norman, thank you for doing this AMA, big fan. My question for you is are you able to tell us if Boondock Saints III is happening in the near future?  Also, do you believe it could be possible to have Sean Patrick Flannery on The Walking Dead? Even if just a cameo it woukd be greabt to see the two of you together again on screen."

"[–]Norman_Reedus[S]:  hey good morning . yeah its on. in the works , happening. sean would be great on the show he’s a real life ninja"

So, fans of The Boondock Saints should be really excited about this news.  It shouldn’t have any impact on the availability of Norman Reedus for filming The Walking Dead, but it does give his fans another reason to be excited about seeing Norman Reedus.

If you haven’t seen The Boondock Saints series of films, now is the time to catch up on the first two films.  The third film was rumored to be in the works after some details were spilled this summer, but the fact that Reedus was willing to go so far to confirm the movie should be a evidence that it is truly “on”.
