Sonequa Martin-Green Became A Mother Recently

Sonequa Martin-Green is best known for her role as Sasha on AMC’s hit television show The Walking Dead.  But now there’s one person that will know her only as “mom”.

On Saturday, January 10th, Martin-Green welcomed her first child Kendrick Justin Green II into the world according to the People Magazine website.  The 8 pound, 4 ounce bouncing baby boy was named after his father Kendrick Justin Green.

It was a well known fact that Sonequa Martin-Green was showing during filming of the second half of The Walking Dead’s fifth season.  The producers of the show wisely put Sasha in a large oversized coat that used to belong to Bob Stookey.

If you followed Sonequa Martin-Green on Twitter, you could have seen her chronicling the growth of her baby bump by her regular updates.  Here’s one of my favorite updates that she posted during her pregnancy:

Martin-Green also told People Magazine about the blessed event recently.

"“We thank God for this incredible blessing,” the proud new parents tell PEOPLE. “We are overjoyed. He’s the coolest little man ever.”"

On behalf of Undead Walking and the FanSided Network, I’d like to congratulate Sonequa Martin-Green and her husband on their new baby boy.  I’d also like to thank  Sonequa Martin-Green for her excellent work on AMC’s The Walking Dead.  Hopefully, Sasha stays alive for many seasons to come on the hit show.
