Is Fear The Walking Dead a Good Title?

The Walking Dead is one of the most popular shows on television and it’s spinoff series is already the subject of much debate among fans.

There isn’t a show on television as popular as The Walking Dead, as not even Game of Thrones is able to top it in the ratings game at times. Those two shows are fanboys wet dreams, and that’s a big reason why they’re both so popular at the moment. But unlike Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead is going to be getting into the series spinoff game — which starts with Fear The Walking Dead.

On Friday afternoon, Kirkman revealed the title of the companion series, which was either news to you or confirmation on what we’ve been hearing.

But is that a good title for the show?

Just like any other good product, you want to get the brand in there — which in this case is The Walking Dead.

That doesn’t mean Fear The Walking Dead is going to be a great title, even is it’s already kind of catchy. What fans should worry about though isn’t the name of the show but the content which is presented. Fear The Walking Dead is on dangerous ground given it’s close connection to the original series it’s spinning off from, and that’s a lot of pressure to handle.

Fear The Walking Dead can take a page out of Better Call Saul’s book though and lean on it’s own identity while playing off killer source material. A show isn’t made in it’s name — it’s made in it’s content and that’s all Fear The Walking Dead needs to be concerned with.
