The Walking Dead: Is Emily Kinney mad she was killed off?

The Walking Dead killed off the very likable Beth Greene last season, and Emily Kinney — the actress who played her — may not have been pleased.

When The Walking Dead kills off a character we all love, it’s more than just a death on the show — it’s the loss of a loved one. We grow to love and care for these characters, and to have them taken way from us as abruptly as they are is a painful experience.

But it’s one thing to watch the characters die and to be a character who was killed off. That’s the situation that Emily Kinney is in, as she was killed off the series this past season and had to deal with no longer existing in that world she had lived in for so long.

It’s easy to be bitter about being killed off a series, and Kinney’s comments that she didn’t watch her death or the series beyond that point seems to suggest she falls under that group.

Kinney talked with Hollywood Life and noted that she was happy to be on the show but isn’t watching it anymore.

"“I stopped watching,” Emily told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY at the 2015 Shorty Awards on April 20 in New York City. “I didn’t see my death, because I had my own experience, and I didn’t want to change what my experience of it was because it was so special to me.”"

Does this mean that Kinney is bitter about being killed off the series?

That’s debatable, but it seems to more or less highlight the fact that this was a job to her and she wasn’t really a fan of the series. That’s not a bad thing, as she wasn’t there to be a fan, she was there to play a role — and that’s what she did right up tot he very end.

Kinney may no the a fan of the show anymore — at least, not the way she was before — but we’re all still big fans of her.

Check out Kinney’s new show on CW where she will hopefully stick around longer than she did on The Walking Dead.
