The Walking Dead Season 6: The Wolves are Setting Up A Walker Army

The Walking Dead Season 6 is setting up it’s villains and it appears that The Wolves have some seriously scary stuff in store.

Last season on The Walking Dead, The Wolves were teased in the finale episode but we didn’t get to see them in action. What we did see was a walker trap zone that seemed to want to keep walkers in rather than out.

Why would someone want to keep something as uncontrollable as walkers in and not out?

According to Greg Nicotero, fans can expect to see The Wolves set up a walker army in The Walking Dead Season 6, which is just about as terrifying as it sounds.

"“We set up the Wolves in Episode 16. I love those characters,” Nicotero told Melty. “The fact that you have people that are basically utilizing the people that they kill as ammunition to build a zombie army? We see them in Episode Nine when they get to Noah’s neighborhood and we see the ‘Wolves not far’ in the background, and when the W-man at the beginning says to Morgan, ‘Well, we’re going to take you, too, but you’re not exactly going to be alive,’ we realize through the course of the episode that they are setting booby traps everywhere so that they can take people’s possessions and then use them as a means to build the walkers in the traps, so it’s kind of a diabolical plan.”"

Look, walkers are scary all on their own, but baking them together and springing them on the world is something that is even scarier and even deadlier to the group than anything they’ve faced before. It’s not secret that the show likes to make the real villains of the series other human characters and not walkers, but this takes things to a whole new level in more than one way.

That being said, how do you keep an army of walkers loyal to you?

It’s not like they have brains — they’re the undead and they feed off brains for food and not knowledge. Facing an army of walkers is a scary idea, but it’s not one that the survivors can’t handle. After all, we’ve seen them escape hairy situations in the past and this is going to just be another test long the road.

How deadly will The Wolves’ army of walkers be? We will have to wait until Season 6 to find out, which should be premiering this fall on AMC.
