San Diego Comic-Con 2015: The Walking Dead Panel Announced
By Josh Hill
San Diego’s Comic-Con International is right around the corner, and The Walking Dead already has a panel booked and have released the details for anxious fans.
We still have a long time before the premiere of The Walking Dead season 6 in the fall, but until then we’re going to have find innovative ways to stay entertained and informed. Thankfully, San Diego’s Comic-Con International falls smack dab in the middle of our wait for the new season of The Walking Dead and the show will be making a trip to the biggest fanboy convention in the world.
Not only is The Walking Dead coming to Comic-Con International next month, but it’s one of the main attractions for the weekend.
Here are the details about The Walking Dead panel at Comic-Con International this year:
- Panelists: Stars Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Chandler Riggs, Michael Cudlitz, Lennie James and Sonequa Martin-Green, along with Executive Producer and Showrunner Scott M. Gimple, Executive Producer Gale Anne Hurd, Executive Producer Robert Kirkman, Executive Producer, Director and Special Effects Make-up Supervisor Greg Nicotero and Executive Producer David Alpert.
- Moderator: “Talking Dead” host Chris Hardwick
- When: Panel from 12:00-1:00pm, on Friday, July 10, Hall H
- Autograph session from 10:00-11:00am on Friday, July 10, Booth #4237
The panel will be held in the coveted Hall H, which is the hardest room to get into at San Diego’s Comic-Con International as it’s the center of the biggest attractions at the convention.
To put things into perceptive, Hall H is typically reserved for Marvel films, and this year Star Wars and DC will be taking up real estate there for two of the most anticipated panels of the year. The Walking Dead being right along side those franchises shows just how massive the series is and how big a draw it will be at Comic-Con this year.
Comic-Con International will kick off on July 9th and run through July 12th with the panel for The Walking Dead falling on the second day the convention.
