The Walking Dead Season 6: Scott Gimple confirms flashback episode
By Josh Hill
The Walking Dead rolled out the red carpet at Comic-Con in San Diego when it came to debating new footage from Season 6 and teasing what we might see.
San Diego Comic-Con is nerdvana and it’s the place where fanboys go to get all the best information about their favorite shows and movies. Needless to say, The Walking Dead is one of the most popular panels at SDCC this year, and the series delivered on the goods when it came to teasing the upcoming Season 6.
At the San Diego Comic-Con panel for The Walking Dead, Scott Gimple confirmed that he lied to all of us when he said that there wasn’t going to be any flashbacks in Season 6. In fact, he confirmed that he’s working on a flashback-centric episode that will more than likely bring back dead characters.
There is no guarantee that there will be a return of dead characters returning to the series, as it was rumored that characters from seasons past would be returning in Flashbacks on Game of Thrones and that didn’t completely happen. Of course, Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead are two different shows, and the idea that we could see Tyreese, Beth and even Lori returning in Season 6 for flashbacks isn’t that hard to fathom.
A big aspect of The Walking Dead is family, and seeing dead characters come back in flashbacks to hammer home that aspect of the show makes a ton of sense.
Plus, it’s never a bas thing to see characters from seasons past return and Gimple would’ make it happen if it didn’t work with the story.
