Walking Dead Season 6: New Photos Spell Uncertainty

The Walking Dead’s new photo stills are out for season 6, with a healthy tint of blue. Vintage. Morgan’s stone cold gaze, Rick Grimes’ ambivalence to it. Both posturing for their holsters, tensions amiss. The quote “an armed society is a polite society,” springs to mind. How long will it take for the bubble to burst in Alexandria? Let’s take a look at the crisp new photos and speculate!
Walking Dead Season 6: End of Rick and Morgan’s Friendship?
Transition is happening, the end of Rick Grimes as a true blue hero. Pure at heart, holding your hand, season through season. We’ve all been Carls for way too long. Viewing events through innocent eyes. Well, It’s grown up time now on The Walking Dead. In Season 6, we might be witnessing just a man. Beyond the sheriff. Justifiable because he’s one of us. We’ve passed year by year with Sheriff Friendly. He’s family. None of us will turn on him. No matter what he does. Rick is untouchable.
Walking Dead Season 6: Sasha Finds Comfort
There’s warmth in acceptance. From last season’s photo op lying on the walker pile, to this newly released pic… Sasha is a walker now. In all but name. She finds comfort among the ones who took everything she had away from her. A case of mild Stockholm syndrome. Despite the occasional bursts of anger at the walkers, lashing out… The last connection she still has in this world is with the undead.
Walking Dead Season 6: Abraham on his own
Abraham needs a purpose. Maybe Alexandaria is it, maybe it isn’t. One thing is for certain, Abraham can take care of himself. Among Walkers or vigilante crews. His place in the group might tangibly be temporary. A tourist rather than a resident. Perhaps, Abraham decides to leave for new locales after the mission of protecting Alexandria is complete. Taking a female partner with him.
Walking Dead Season 6: Maggie’s Vulnerability
Maggie quietly shifted to the background towards the end of last season. Slowly descending back to civilian life. Yet the memories remain, and the outside is all too real. Her demeanor in this photo appears vulnerable for the first time in multiple seasons. Is a pregnancy in the midst? Will she rely on Glenn more than ever before in Season 6? The whole Greene family has gradually evaporated with the exception of Maggie. The lone survivor.
