The Walking Dead: Norman Reedus on how to survive Comic Con
A few weeks ago, we told you about the contest with the completely amazing Walking Dead prize that Omaze.com is running in conjunction with Norman Reedus. Doesn’t ring a bell? Click here to refresh your memory.
Well, now Norman not only wants to hang out with a lucky fan, but he also wants to give the rest of us some free advice about how to survive New York Comic Con, which takes place in only a few weeks… on the same weekend as both that exclusive Walking Dead Premiere Event in Madison Square Garden, which most of us are not lucky enough to be attending, as well as the premiere of The Walking Dead season 6 on AMC.
Yes, I said it. The Walking Dead season 6 premieres in a few weeks!
That means there isn’t much time to brush up on your Comic Con survival skills. Norman recently released a short video, detailing each of the following important topics for Comic Con survival, to provide additional hype for his Omaze contest. The rules are relatively simple – luckily, they’re much easier and more fun to follow than the rules for surviving the zombie apocalypse. In fact, you won’t have to stab or shoot anyone in the head! You can watch the video below.
To summarize those steps one more time…
1. Find your friends. Because after all, cons are always going to be more fun with friends!
2. Take some photos. 600 or so each day should be enough, right? I can only imagine how many Norman takes on an average day! (My husband would argue that I take just as many… to which I could only reply, “Well, not every day!”)
3. Share trivia. And don’t be like the guy in the video who’s cosplaying as Rick, but doesn’t have any idea what Norman’s talking about when he asks him the three most important questions. (You know the ones… How many walkers have you killed? How many people have you killed? Why?)
4. Carpool. Maybe if you’re lucky enough to win the contest, you’ll be in a car with Norman. Just watch out for the swarm of fangirls following in his wake.
5. Have fun! Well, if he insists, right?
and has an unbelievable grand prize as well.
