The Walking Dead: Alexandra Breckenridge would like Jessie to get stronger and start killing zombies

Alexandra Breckenridge wants Jessie to become stronger and start to join in the zombie killing with the group in Alexandria on The Walking Dead. Alexandra spoke with Entertainment Weekly about Jessie’s role in season 6, which starts on October 11th.

When season 5 ended last March, Jessie was defending Rick at the meeting to decide if he should be exiled because of his fight with her husband Pete and Rick’s secret stash of weapons and his general crazy town Rick speech on the street before Michonne knocked him out. Then after Jessie’s abusive husband accidentally killed Reg in a drunken rage, Rick shot him at the request of Reg’s wife and Alexandria’s leader, Deanna.

Alexandra told EW that she has hope for her character, Jessie, because she believes her to be “an innately strong and intelligent woman.”

"I hope for her sake she can figure out how to help her children become stronger."

As an actress, Alexandra would like to do some stunt work, she’d like to get into the action. Maybe she’ll become the next Sasha or Michonne or Maggie!

"I want to do more action stuff. So, if I can get Scott to write me anything having to do with killing zombies or anything like that, because that’s a lot of fun. Doing stunt work is really fun and there’s a lot of that on the show, so I’m hoping to get my hands dirty. Or bloody, so to speak."

Things are going to get crazy inside and outside the walls of Alexandria very soon. We’ll see how Jessie’s character adapts to the death I found her husband and how things shake out with Rick and the others all of the walkers and the wolves. It’s going to be a great season.
