The Walking Dead: Who died in Always Accountable?
The Walking Dead season 6 episode 6 was certainly not without loss. However, it may have been a little short on clarity. I had to rewind a fair amount and ask my viewing companions for clarification on some scenes. We speculated as to who Honey, Tina, and their male companion D really were. We struggled initially with what point Sasha was trying to make to Abraham. And none of us could figure out why it was so difficult for The Walking Dead‘s hero, Daryl Dixon, to pull his crossbow out of the bag! Some things were cleared up a little by the episode’s end, but I suspect some of the mystery was intentional.
Let’s take a look at who or what died in episode “Always Accountable”:
Walker deaths
There was definitely visible walker carnage as Daryl made his way through the charred woods. And, thank goodness, he was able to finally pull his crossbow out of that bag so he could take out the “root walker”. Abraham’s soldier walker took a dive off the bridge without requiring Abe’s intervention after all. And later in episode 6, Daryl had to finish off walkers Delly and Carla after Tina got too close.
Metaphorical deaths
Abraham clearly made some progress in moving forward with his life. More specifically, we see him make a choice to embrace an actual life beyond an incessantly chaotic and reactionary existence. And call me crazy, but did we see the death of Abrasita and the birth of Abrasha?? It sounded like Abraham was reaching out to Sasha in a potential romantic partner type fashion. Did she not suggest he had some things to take care of first, meaning ending things with Rosita?

Human deaths
There was indeed an actual death tonight. We were introduced only briefly to diabetic Tina before losing her to aggravated walkers, Delly and Carla. As my husband pointed out, when are these survivors going to learn that you cannot go poking around walkers up close, even if they were your friends? Danger, danger! Do not approach walkers EVER!
Finally, would I be remiss if not mentioning a loss of limb for bad guy Cam? Probably not. And what about the loss of Patty? Wait, nope. She’s alive and well, and it turns out she is actually a truck, not a person. And she is now transporting our survivors to Alexandria! Unless they have to respond to that mysterious call for help first….hmmm.
Final death count for The Walking Dead season 6 episode 6: 1, Tina
