The Walking Dead Survival Kit: ZPAK product review

First My Family recently released a new product in their line of AMC’s The Walking Dead survival kits, this time giving us the versatile and essential ZPAK.

Undead Walking has had the opportunity to review several great products attached to AMC’s hit zombie survival drama The Walking Dead, including mobile games, DVDs and more. But a company called First My Family has been releasing fantastic products in survival kits.

To some, it might sound silly to have zombie survival kits, but these kits are great for much more than just situations like you’d see on The Walking Dead. These products are great in any emergency and include several items that would be great to keep in your vehicle in case disaster strikes or clip to your backpack when going hiking.

For just $29.95 (regularly priced $34.95) on the First My Family website. You can have a compact assortment of items that could come in handy in any situation as well as a unique items with AMC’s The Walking Dead logo on the side of it.

After taking look through the contents of the ZPAK, I was impressed with the variety of items. The thought of a poncho and a blanket being stored in a bottle with a glowstick, bandages and more seems like it should be an impossible fit, but they easily can be removed and replaced if you just want to use the bottle.

Speaking of the bottle, it is awesome. The blood splatter design on the side is a nice touch, especially when the bottle is filled with cranberry juice or another red colored fluid. The top opens easily, yet seals tightly so no liquid can escape. Perhaps the coolest thing is the AMC and the television show’s logo on the side, making it a unique collectible as well as functional item.

Personally, I’m not sure if I should put this in my car in case of emergency, keep it latched to my backpack for hikes, or put it on my shelf next to other items from AMC’s The Walking Dead to display. Maybe I’ll have to get a couple more of the ZPAKs or other great survival products from First My Family, including the one-person emergency kit that includes a brown carrier bag with the show’s logo on the side.

Overall, I highly recommend The Walking Dead ZPAK from First My Family. If you just want a cool pack of items to display or keep in case you need them, this is also a good option. Also, friends or family who love the hit zombie show, but are under-prepared for emergency situations could both use and enjoy this is a very thoughtful gift.
