The Walking Dead: A larger world?
By Susie Graham
AMC’s The Walking Dead promo image for season 6B suggests that we will return to a larger world when we come back in February.
Yesterday 6 panels of a promo image were revealed on Instagram and shared on AMC’s The Walking Dead social media with the promise of the final panels being revealed today. So far, no panels have been officially revealed on Instagram, but a larger picture is the header on the Twitter account.
This picture still doesn’t look quite finished, but it may be the ragged effect of the panels. The caption reads, “A larger world.” Then on the bottom right we have the normal “returns February 14”. Although read together they make an interesting sentence.
Let’s see what the new little panels are. I’m not the best interpreter, as was pointed out to me yesterday!
We have a rosary in someone’s hand. A hand inside a long sleeve jacket. Ominous cloud formations, perhaps even tornadoes. A left hand wearing a wedding band and a black watch. The neck looks female and like there is a necklace. The neck and hand are very dirty and vein-y-could be a walker.

We have the second half of the satellite dish. (I guess it wasn’t the bottom of a hiking boot. Hee hee.) People or walkers handcuffed. The holding hands that looks like it was the guts-poncho wearing crew headed to the armory. And a very dark image with something very abstract and in discernable. (I won’t even give it a wild guess.)
Now to the caption. A larger world. The walls of Alexandria are falling and the herd is invading and dispersing as well. We know that Negan is out there. We see Morgan outside the walls. And a major theme last half of the season was that the world is not over.
If the world is not over, we have to start thinking bigger. Looking for help. Looking for resources. Dealing with problems. Addressing the other major themes–moving forward, no choice. Progress.
I’m sure there are comic spoiler/theory ideas hidden in there. I don’t like to speculate too much on what the promo art means. I like to see it unfold. Plus, I like to let you make your own speculations and predictions. What do you think?
P.S. I’ll keep watching AMC’s social media for more panels or promo art.
P.S. I stink at interpreting these pictures! Someone said it doesn’t look like weather or tornado clouds, but rather smoke from something on fire in the distance!
