Fear the Walking Dead: Season 1 Special Edition DVD Coming

A new Special Edition of The Complete First Season of Fear the Walking Dead is coming to DVD and Blu-ray on March 22, 2016 from Anchor Bay Entertainment.

Fear the Walking Dead‘s first season was released on an inexpensive DVD and Blu-ray on December 1st, 2015 in time for holiday gift giving, but it was noticeably short on special features that many DVD buyers look for when choosing the DVD over waiting for Hulu or Amazon Instant.

Anchor Bay is going to remedy that with the Special Edition Blu-ray or DVD to be released in March which will have a special new cover and many brand new special features.

Anchor Bay plans to send our Adam a copy to review for Undead Walking so look for his review in an upcoming article.  The lack of special features was something he noticed when he reviewed the original release so I’m sure he’ll be thrilled to see these. He even predicted that they might have more features on future releases!

Our first zombie from Fear the Walking Dead, Gloria, is the face for the Special Edition.  Lexi Johnson, the beautiful girl who brought Gloria to un-life, tweeted her excitement about being the cover girl.

According to the press release from Anchor Bay, the Blu-ray will retail for $59.99 and the DVD for 49.98. It will be 2 discs and will include the 6 episodes plus these special features:
