The Walking Dead retains co-executive producer Angela Kang

AMC has come to terms with The Walking Dead co-executive producer Angela Kang on a new deal that will keep her with the zombie surivival drama for two years.

The Walking Dead is one of the biggest shows on television. They employ some of the best actors and actresses along with crew members to help make it a must-watch program each and every week. Behind the scenes, many people work hard to bring the program to life. In the past, she has worked on programs like FX’s Terriers and NBC’s One Day, but really came into her own during her work on the zombie show.

One of those individuals is AMC’s Angela Kang. She has been a part of The Walking Dead’s team since the beginning of season 2 as a story editor but continued to work her way up the chain, eventually becoming the a co-executive producer during her fourth year with the show.

Deadline recently announced that Kang has been given a two-year after UTA and The Shuman Company struck a deal with AMC to allow her continue with the show as the sole #2 co-executive producer. But she will not be devoted entirely to The Walking Dead. Angela Kang will also be tasked with creating and supervising other shows for AMC, as well as working on new projects for the network.

The Walking Dead already has a fantastic team in place, with Robert Kirkman, Charlie Adlard, Scott M. Gimple and many others pitching in to make the project the ratings juggernaut that it has become today. The show has assembled a talented cast, an enormous source material in the comic books, and an extremely loyal fan base, AMC’s zombie show has the potential to keep relevant for many years to come.

Congratulations go out to the AMC network, Angela Kang and The Walking Dead on keeping a valuable member of the organization. By keeping the team in tact, fans can continue to expect the high levels of programming that have been experienced since the series premiere.
