The Walking Dead: Cast joins James Lipton on ‘Inside the Actors Studio’
By Susie Graham
James Lipton welcomed some of the cast and producers of The Walking Dead to Inside The Actors Studio last September before season 6 began.
The show will be aired on Bravo on Thursday, February 11, at 8 p.m., just a few days before the second half of season 6 kicks off on February 14.
In a statement, James Lipton said, “We took Inside the Actors Studio right onto the set of The Walking Dead to find out what the terror, thrills, courage and compassion we see on the screen are like, up close and very personal. Join us – if you dare!”
I know I certainly will dare! I am a huge fan of Mr. Lipton and his stack of blue index cards. His show focuses on the important things, not the frivolous. He is quite fun and entertaining.

We do see a few tears from Lauren Cohan, but we’ll have to wait to see what precipitates them, “I’m trying to do all of these breathing exercises because when I found out we were going to come on your show, the first thing I promised myself was I wasn’t gonna cry because everybody cries and I already cry so easily so… (crying) oh shoot!” (Via Variety)
Steven Yeun sees Lauren’s emotion as a positive thing for her acting. Here’s what he told E!Online, “She is a vessel of emotion, spontaneity, of beauty…there’s a lot there. And you can throw anything at it, and you will get so much back.”
I can’t wait to hear from Danai Gurira. She is really bright and an eloquently expressive speaker. She is quite perceptive about her character and the characters and psychology in general of The Walking Dead. I’m always drawn to her beautiful face, but mostly her beauty of phrasing whenever she is on Talking Dead or a talk show.
Thank goodness she noticed the depth of the characters and got beyond the gore and guts, just like most of the fans have done. She is Michonne!
“At first I was a scaredy-cat, and I really had trouble… but [the series] was so full of heart and character and rich story that that started to really trump the fear factor for me,” (Via E! Online)
So in addition to the actual mid-season premiere, we can look forward to this treat to get us ready.
