Some Walkers on The Walking Dead have decided to help a fan with MS by donating the proceeds from the raffle at their viewing party this Sunday.

Local actors who play the zombies on the hit AMC zombie series had planned to get together and enjoy each other’s company while viewing the mid-season premiere of the show when it returns to continue season 6 this Sunday night.

When The Graveyard Tavern in Southeast Atlanta offered to host an event in partnership with the walkers open to the public, it expanded into a cool viewing party with trivia contests and raffle prizes for fans along with meeting and hanging out with the zombie actors from the show.

The event got another twist added when one of the walkers, Chris Harrelson, was made aware of a local fan’s health situation. Mark has MS and is attempting to raise funds for a procedure that could radically improve his quality of life. Chris was asked if he could possibly take up a small collection at the event to help Mark.

Chris and the walkers decided to have the raffle proceeds go to Mark’s cause. If you attend the viewing party and buy a raffle ticket, you have a chance to win a cool The Walking Dead prize and your money goes to a great cause for one special The Walking Dead fan.

Prizes include a The Walking Dead pop up book, signed Walker calendars, season 5 DVDs, signed action figures, and more. The Walkers had planned to purchase the prizes themselves for the party, but now, in addition to those prizes, a local shop has become involved.

The Woodbury Shoppe on Main Street in Senoia has generously donated The Walking Dead pint glasses, a 2016 Calendar, a Just Look At The Flowers note pad and sticker, a Senoia GA t-shirt, a The Walking Dead dog leash, a The Walking Dead pen, and a Eugene fridge magnet to the raffle. These prizes will certainly make commercial breaks more exciting.

If you’re in the Atlanta area, consider hanging out with a few undead undead (that wasn’t a typo), and catch the premiere of the second half of season 6 of The Walking Dead with a herd of fans. You might just win a cool prize while you’re there. You’ll definitely have fun and help someone at the same time.
