The Walking Dead episode 609 Russian promo shows spoiler

Fans of The Walking Dead in Russia might have had a major midseason premiere spoiler revealed to them in promotional art featuring a major character on the show.
Spoilers are everywhere for AMC’s The Walking Dead. These days, it’s hard to sign on to Facebook, Twitter, or other social media websites and not see people talking about some of the things that will happen during the second half of the zombie survival drama’s sixth season.
While many websites try their best not to spoil the show for those who don’t want to see this information, there are times that avoiding the spoilers is impossible. This was the case in a recent piece of art released for promoting the midseason premiere of The Walking Dead in Russia.
The picture comes from SpoilerTV, a reliable source for information and international information about The Walking Dead. This is your opportunity to stop reading before you see the image that could be a spoiler and some analysis on it.
***WARNING: SPOILERS BELOW FOR AMC’S THE WALKING DEAD***
The image in question involves Carl Grimes. As fans of the comic books know, it is this point in the comics where Carl gets accidentally shot in the eye during the zombie invasion of Alexandria.
The fact that Carl loses an eye seems to be confirmed by an image that is being used to promote the show in Russia. At the very least, he appears to have wounded it at some point during the craziness of The Walking Dead‘s midseason premiere.

As you can see from the pic, Carl has gauze over his eye as well as some bandages to hold it in place. This means that the wound to his eye seems to be confirmed from the comics. Still, it will be hard to imagine the wound as shown in this picture coming anywhere near the gruesome disgustingness that his face becomes when it happens in the comic books.
