The idea that Negan will make his first appearance in the finale of season 6 of The Walking Dead may not be a given or entirely accurate according to Scott Gimple.

Fans guessed the finale and then articles all over the Internet said the finale. I wrote articles saying the finale based on sources saying the finale. According to The Wrap, Scott Gimple is disappointed that articles are saying that Negan will be introduced in the finale.

More the walking dead: Cast looks ahead to rest of season 6 in this video clip

It’s almost impossible to keep anything a secret about The Walking Dead. The show and the network do their best and they are trying to crack down on spoilers. It’s a huge issue. I’m team “stop the spoilers”, but that’s for another time.

We do know that Robert Kirkman has said that when Negan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, does enter our world on The Walking Dead, it will be “bone-chilling”. Scott Gimple warned us to be a little patient because we had other characters to meet and things to happen. (Via TVInsider)

Who knows if Negan will appear any sooner than the finale or not, but understandably, Scott Gimple tossed out a little maybe, maybe not teaser.

"“There have been articles pinpointing exactly when Negan shows up, and that’s a bit disappointing, because they may not be entirely true. There’s kind of a build up. But you might even see him next episode. Absolutely. Well, sort of. Well, definitely. Well, maybe. Maybe not. But possibly.”"

We’ve met Jesus and Gregory. We’ve been to the Hilltop. We haven’t seen Negan, but Daryl blew up his men. We got a sense of their tactics from those men. We got more information about the Saviors from Jesus’ group.

The Saviors are grown up versions of playground bullies, beating up a little kid for his Twinkies. And when they feel like it, if they don’t think they got enough lunch money or snacks, they make the kid send a message to scare the other kids. Instead of stealing the kid’s Hot Wheels or pet turtle, he kills him.

A member of the Hilltop group feared Negan enough to go through with a stabbing message to the leader Gregory about a perceived short in the supply delivery.

Rick and the crew have decided it’s worth the risk to get food from Hilltop legitimately through a trade deal to help them get rid of this bully and get the food that was going to Negan and the Saviors. Then they can work together in the future.

No matter when Negan appears, it will be the right time, or the wrong time! We’ve heard his name. We’re learning more about him. We’ve met Jesus and Gregory. I’m not even a comic reader and I’m very hooked into where things are going. I’m terrified and excited to have my bones chilled.
