Walking Dead alum Callies joins Prison Break revival

Former The Walking Dead actress Sarah Wayne Callies will reprise her role on the popular series Prison Break when it begins filming in April of 2016.
Sarah Wayne Callies is a very busy woman these days. Not only does she star in the popular USA drama Colony and have a prominent role in the film The Other Side of the Door, but Callies has also been added to the re-launch of the hit Fox series Prison Break.
Fans of The Walking Dead will recognize Callies from her role as Lori Grimes on AMC’s zombie survival drama. She played the wife of the series protagonist, Rick Grimes and mother to Carl Grimes while being involved in a love triangle involving Rick’s former police partner, Shane Walsh.

Callies is a significant add to Prison Break, as she will reprise her role of Dr. Sara Tancredi. When you factor in the other stars returning to the series, such as Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell, this is a series that seems to be on the right path to success.
According to Entertainment Weekly, it sounds like a lot of the things fans may have assumed from the previous series finale might not have been as they seem:

It is anticipated that Prison Break will be a show with a massive scope when it returns to FOX. It was one of the most popular shows on television during its initial run and could find success again with the relaunch of the series. Filming is expected to begin in April, but until then fans can only imagine how big this can be for FOX.
